A practical design for the lugged areas with orthotape. This speeds up the process a bit. One can apply different treatments once it is hardened. For example, epoxy paint etc. Here it is left as is except for a little sanding. I use the same Polywhey that is on the bamboo on the orthotape. It works very well.

The geometry allows for 32c tires and a slightly more relaxed seat tube angle, plus, slightly longer chain stays. The bike handles well for touring and adventure riding like gravel. The down tube on this frame is substantial. The entire bike weights about 24 lbs. None of the parts were chosen to reduce weight. I was after something that was robust and affordable.

Similar to a "nude" carbon frame the orthotape left untreated helps illustrate the process of making it. I personally enjoy seeing this aspect of the frame. It is a bit raw but again like "brutalist architecture" seeing the material and what it does is important to me.
